This course should only be used for interim refresher training and does not replace the comprehensive ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training courses for schools, children's education/care, and community. A refresher course for health professionals is available at https://etraininghp.ascia.org.au.

This course has been:

• Developed by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), the peak professional body for allergy and clinical immunology in Australia and New Zealand.
• Supported by ASCIA and the National Allergy Strategy, a partnership between ASCIA and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA), the peak consumer body for allergy in Australia.

A certificate confirms successful completion, which requires course participants to obtain 100% for the quiz.

The new ASCIA Anaphylaxis Training Refresher video provides training which:

• Enables accessible and hands-free learning that takes around 16 minutes to watch
• Can save a person’s life

• ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training VIC is the leading source of accessible, consistent and evidence-based anaphylaxis training in Australia and New Zealand. 
• Provides the most up to date information about  prevention, recognition and emergency treatment of anaphylaxis, including information about adrenaline (epinephrine) autoinjectors and ASCIA Action Plans for Anaphylaxis.  
• Was developed in 2010 and is reviewed each year by the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), the peak professional body of allergy and immunology in Australia and New Zealand.

From 3 March 2023  Staff from the Department of Education Western Australia should now access ASCIA anaphylaxis training via the Professional Learning tab in Ikon. 

Student teachers and staff from other schools in Western Australia should continue to access ASCIA anaphylaxis training here.
